The Swiss have always made the very best embroidered appliques, and these are no exception. Two different sizes of roses are embroidered with black and grey thread onto cotton organdy. The middle petals are detached and stuffed with cotton (which may be removed) as shown in the pictures. These are embroidered to be cut apart cleanly or used with an underlay for fashion garments or as accents for your millinery creations. These organdy appliques date from the 1960's. Trim is about 2 inches in with and sold by the yard. One repeat of a large rose and smaller rose bud measures about 6 & 1/2 inches. There are 11 individual motifs per yard of trim. Grey, Black with white cotton stuffed accents.
