Olive green velveteen tilt top hat dates to the late 1930's, early 40's and has the original "Riley Original Design" Label sewn to the grosgrain ribbon band. Hat has a slightly elliptical brim as shown in the picture and is made to sit at the top of the head and slightly forward. Velveteen hat is beautifully made of cotton velveteen with a gathered brim, feathered millinery "Bird heads" with pointed beaks, and a "nest" of green veiling. Hat measures between 9 & 1/2 and 10 inches in diameter and 2 inches in height. CONDITION: Beautiful designer hat looks like it has never been worn. There are no marks to the inside or label. Netting has some separations. I have replaced the elastic band that hold the hat in place with a new old stock original.
