Antique applique is machine embroidered with flowers and foliage motifs on to a fine cotton netting. There is a very fine meandering stitch that has the appearance of Queen Ann's Lace and compliments the heavier embroidery. Lace medallion is outlined with an embroidered scalloped border. Size of lace insert is 3 1/4 by 3 1/4 inches with a netted edge that is meant to be turned under and hemmed. Excellent unused condition, may have faint storage patina which adds to its antique charm.
