Exquisite hand made applique yardage is hand sewn with gold metal picot cord and glass beads. There is hand embroidered feather stitching through out, This was carefully removed from a unsalvageable shredded silk gown designed by the House of A. Félix , Paris. 1890/1900's. Original label included.
A. Felix Brevete (Maison Félix), based at 15 Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris, was a fashion house renowned for their Victorian and Gilded age garments. Their creations often featured intricate embroidery, silk velvet, and beadwork, with notable pieces including evening gowns and tailored ensembles from the 1880s and 1890s.
There are a dozen or so areas that will need reattaching if used in one piece.
