Vintage three-ply spun silk thread was used to weave these beautiful cords on an antique shoelace machine.
Each cord is woven from many strands, to create a very strong cord. All are about 1/8th of an inch thick except the red and blue which is just under 1/8th inch.
Sold by the yard.
These make wonderful embellishments for a Victorian costume.
