Fine hand made trim dates from the 1960's. This is new old stock, unused. Each hand tied knot is made with cord that has been tied into a monkeys paw design. These are spaced every 1 inch and hand sewn to a braided tape which measures just under 3/8th of an inch. These were used as trim on hats, costume and household furnishings. Knots can also be removed and used as buttons. There are about 36 knots per yard. Rayon/cotton fibers. Midnight black. Sold by the yard.
