Fine antique Victorian cover is hand embroidered in shaded silks with stitches including; satin stitch, long and short, stem, and French knots. Very fine attention to detail. Embroidery is executed in fine shaded silk threads onto a high quality dense ivory wool and included wild roses, leaves, stems with thorns and rose buds. There is handmade wool pillow lace 5 inches deep bordering the silk embroidered cover. Wool cover has three pin holes and a 1 inch moth nibble. Lace and embroidery is in excellent condition with softly faded patina and no stains. Wild rose silk embroidered cover measures 28 by 34 inches.
