Late 19th early 20th century intricate hand knotted macramé fringe has the look of fine lace. Heavy cotton cord is knotted into a fine patterned fringe as shown in the pictures.
Each smaller panel measures 2.5 by 4.5 inches with knotted fringe.
Very tightly knotted sturdy trim.
Fringe like this was used for show towels, household furnishings and lampshades.
This is a continuous length of 18 inches/1/2 yard, 7 complete motifs.
