Antique sixteen point star appliques are hand embroidered with gold metal bullion wires. These are wonderful appliques which have many decorative uses. These appliques are in excellent unused antique condition. Traditionally embroidered on heavy wool felt with a adhesive cotton backing to hold the stitching. These are easily trimmed from their felt backings as shown in the sample. Star measures 3 inches in diameter. Felt backing measures 4 by 5 inches.
