Hand made cord appliques are hand sewn with cords in chocolate brown and black. There are two different styles to choose from. One style has a knotted center, and one has a gathered center. Both measure about 2.5 to 3 inches by 5 inches.
Appliques like these were used for clothing and hat embellishment.
The last picture shows the back of the appliques and the hand stitching.
These are unused Edwardian appliques.
