Gold metal antique trim is woven with gold metal covered cotton cord and features a center design of a double row of threaded flat metal tape for added sparkle. Trim is delicately woven, and is 3/8 of an inch in width. Excellent and strong enough to support an added beaded trim. These trims were used on many boudoir items, boxes and lampshades along with ribbon work throughout the last century as shown in the pictures of the antique French and reproduction boxes.
