Antique French silk passementerie tassels have many fine hand made details.
Silk tassels are coral, gold, silver and green/chartreuse silk.
There are silk and cord wrapped wooden forms, silver wire caterpillar bobbles, silk chenille ruff, and thick silk bullion fringe.
Pair of large 10 inch tassels date from the 1870/1890's and were found in a Chateau sale and had been in storage since the 1950's.
Pair of tassels are made attached to a thick silk cord. Cord is about 3/4th of an inch in thickness and 11 feet and four inches in length. These originally came with massive silk and silver metal brocade curtains.
These tassels are in beautiful condition but do have fading, minor thread loss, scant bent decorations and patina.
