Chocolaterie P. Haeffelé & Cie cookie tin features a medallion of the beautiful Marquise de Pompadour encircled by images of Le Louvre, Notre Dame, The City of Paris Coat of Arms, fleur de leis and rose garlands. Inscription in French reads: "Pralines from the time of the Marchioness of Pompadour". Sides of tin features a beautiful band of Fleur de lis and an elaborate scroll pattern with the French; " Chocolaterie P. Haeffelé & Cie". Tin measures 5 inches in diameter and 1 1/4" deep. These empty tins were found in their original wooden crate and are in excellent antique unused condition. Please expect patina and light scratches as each tin is unique. French pralines are a combination of almonds and caramelized sugar.
