Antique velveteen pillow top dates from 1900 or earlier and was made in Germany. Charming calico kitty is expertly embroidered in tufted wool in punch work embroidery on fine cotton velveteen. Kitty has a gentle allover faded patina which lends much vintage charm. Cotton velveteen is a chocolate brown in excellent antique condition and is backed with linen as shown in the picture. Also visible are the instructions in German. Pillow top measures 15 & 1/2 by 24 inches with unfinished edges ready to be made into a pillow, added to a quilt or just framed.
