Superb Museum Quality Victorian Berlin Work & Beaded Men’s Slippers

These exceptionally rare Victorian men's slippers are expertly hand embroidered with beaded floral's and needlepoint. Made in England and dating to the mid to later 19th century with a leather sole and stacked heel which show little wear. The interiors of these fine slippers are lined with kid leather which shows no wear just some small darker areas. Slipper vamps have beaded floral's in a palette of lavender, ivory, pink and copper which continues the length of both sides. Needlepoint is predomiantly turkey red with olive, greens and gold foliage.
Slippers measure 11 & 3/4th inches in length, 3 & 1/2 inches at the widest part of the vamp, have rounded toes, leather soles, with left and right swings and have a 1 inch stacked leather heel.

The condition is excellent. I see no bead loss. There may be several beads missing mentioned for accuracy. I see several missing stitches that are not noticeable unless you search for them. Very slight 2 to 3 stitch seperation where the vamps meet the sides. These slippers display as fine intact examples of Victorian Men's slippers
