A marvelous example of the embroiders art, this mid to late Victorian dress front appears to be been unused. Lustrous silk satin has been expertly embroidered with shaded silk in tiny motifs of many varieties of flowers, foliage, buds and leaves. Reminiscent of 18th century waistcoats, and embroidered in the same style. Embroidered dress front measures 28 inches long, 14 inches across the bottom and 6 inches at the middle. There is a lovely French style lace on the edges. This piece is in Pristine antique condition with several holes to the inside net only. There are four inside hooks and eyes intact.
