Chocolaterie P. Haeffelé & Cie cookie tin features a medallion of the beautiful Marquise de Pompadour encircled by images of Le Louvre, Notre Dame, The City of Paris Coat of Arms, fleur de leis and rose garlands. Inscription in French reads: "Pralines from the time of the Marchioness of Pompadour". Sides of tin features a beautiful band of Fleur de lis and an elaborate scroll pattern with the French; " Chocolaterie P. Haeffelé & Cie". Tin measures 5 inches in diameter and 1 1/4" deep. These empty tins date from the 1920's, and were found in their original wooden crate.
Excellent antique unused condition with patina and light scratches as each tin is unique. French pralines are a combination of almonds and caramelized sugar.
